Heartsy is a uniquely designed arts-based program seeking to nurture the mind, body, and heart of children and families in the Long Beach Community. Heartsy offers a comprehensive Summer arts program catering to children with special needs using a combination of art expression, instruction, yoga, music and movement, and sensory integration. Additionally, HeARTsy provides free community art services to local organizations and events throughout Long Beach in hopes of addressing social issues and providing healing through art for at-risk and homeless children and adults.

Our vision is to connect people in need with resources for food and daily hygiene essentials. It is our goal to ensure that no person should have to eat out of a trash can, sell his or her body, or lead a life of crime in order to eat a meal or feed his or her family.
Feeding Long Beach offers a sack lunch and hot meal program to various shelters and organizations that cannot afford to feed their visitors and residents on a daily basis.
We rely entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters, operating solely on donations. If we all work together, we CAN fight hunger!
Thanksgiving 2017 means 500 meals for Feeding Long Beach in one day! We set our goal to serve 250+ sack lunches at Sack Lunch Tuesday, complete with turkey sandwiches and brownies … ON TOP OF providing dinner for 250+ for residents in affordable housing at Century Villages at Cabrillo.

This is the official Connect! of CityHeART team page for the “Love to Serve Long Beach” fundraising campaign.
We strive to support members of our community who are struggling due to trauma, poverty, mental illness, or structural inequality. We link members with local resources and provide an opportunity to connect and share lived experiences. Connect! aims to generate hope, build positive relationships and empower members to become mentors. We encourage our members to learn positive coping skills, lead, share, support, educate and give back to the community.
Auspicious Arts began with a vision of bringing art projects to community service projects.
Auspicious Arts at CityHeART is the program where we complete the part of our mission to tell true stories about our city in order to raise awareness of various issues. We lead therapeutic art workshops with groups in the city (people in recovery, veterans, transitional youth, at-risk senior citizens, to name a few) and learn their stories along the way. We end each workshop series with a culminating art reception, where the work is displayed for the public and information about the issue at the root of the stories is shared. Guests are challenged to engage with the work and serve the issues at hand, whether its homelessness, mental health, human trafficking, addiction, PTSD, or any of the many struggles present in our community.
Your gift and commitment to this program will allow us to lead 12 workshop series in 2018, and host 12 informational art receptions — one per month. Please consider helping us with this endeavor!
This show was the culmination of a ten week art workshop series we led for clients at Safe Refuge. This is the second year in a row we have had the privilege of working with the Safe Refuge team to do something wonderful and creative. Thank you to all who made this possible!
